TASK SCHEDULE FOR SEPTEMBER 2015

Grow our own organic food on our allotments led by George Spencer. The task will vary according to the season. Meet at the Woodlands Allotment, through a gate on the R hand side of Dereham Road as you go out of the City just before the roundabout leading to Sweet Briar Industrial Estate. No need to book, just come along at 12.30.

Dolphin Bridge
Clearing the pathway from the bridge to the  canoe club that we have done once before so shouldn’t be quite such a big task this time

Netherwood Green
A popular green space with wooded area where people like to enjoy the wildlife. We’ll be path trimming and litter picking to make visiting this site a real pleasure

We love Mousehold and there is always so much to do to look after the heath that is our City’s green treasure.

Happy Birthday to Us at Cary’s Meadow
We’ll have a short rambling round Cary’s Meadow then we’ll be celebrating with a sociable meal together at the Town House and giving some awards to special volunteers

Conservation work on the heath. Bracken takes over if not controlled so we’ll be discouraging it, otherwise known as bracken bashing!

Pulling ragwort in the large meadow inside the walls of this old roman fort. There’ll be amazing views over the river and marshes in this picturesque Broads area
